A representative of IDDEEA BiH participated in the Sarajevo Business Forum

Ms. Emina Zejnilović Zebić, Director’s Advisor for EU Funds in the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, took part in the second panel discussion on “Digital Transformation” at Sarajevo Business Forum.

The introductory part of the panel discussed BiH access to the Digital Europe Programme, worth 7.5 billion euros, which provides funding for projects in digitization, artificial intelligence, cyber security, and advanced digital skills.

Ms. Zejnilović Zebić gave a presentation on the accomplishments and projects of the Agency in the area of digital transformation, supporting the implementation of the EU Digital Strategy, particularly SDGs 1 and 3. She discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the digital transformation process, the value of collaboration between the public and private sectors, and the role that education plays in producing new staff members.

She emphasised that IDDEEA will be crucial to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s lengthy journey towards digital transformation, which is still in its early stages.

The panel came to the conclusion that digital transformation is essential to economic growth and progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that concrete steps and calculated investments are required to meet the desired goals.
