Mr. Almir Badnjević, director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), was invited as the only representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina to speak at the Regional Conference for the Western Balkans in Pristina. His lecture focused on digital transformation and interoperability, presenting an overview of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s current status in comparison to other European and Western Balkan countries.
Director Badnjević highlighted the crucial role of the Agency in digital transformation throughout his presentation and the importance of the responsibilities of the Agency, which were unknown to many conference participants.
Representatives from European partners, particularly Brussels, Estonia, and Finland, were pleasantly surprised by Bosnia and Herzegovina’s compliance with the eIDAS 2.0 Regulation, which unambiguously indicates progress in the field of digital identity of citizens.
This event provided a wonderful chance to raise knowledge about the presence and significance of IDDEEA BiH, as well as to promote regional collaboration and compliance with European standards.
