Agreement between the Municipality of Ilidža and IDDEEA: Digitalization for a More Efficient Municipal Administration

The Municipality of Ilidža and the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) have signed a crucial agreement aimed at modernizing and digitalizing municipal administration. The new collaboration will provide the Ilidža Municipal Administration with continuous access to IDDEEA’s central registers via a web service, streamlining and simplifying administrative processes for citizens.

Through this system, municipal employees will have direct access to necessary data in compliance with relevant laws, making it easier to process administrative procedures for citizens. In addition to reducing bureaucratic obstacles, the digitalization initiative will enhance data exchange between institutions and increase transparency in the services offered by the Municipality of Ilidža.

The agreement aligns with the goals of the EU Digital Strategy, particularly regarding data exchange and system interoperability. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Digitalization through this agreement offers tangible benefits for citizens, including faster access to information, reduced administrative barriers, and more efficient services. This partnership is another example of successful cooperation between local and national institutions working toward greater efficiency and accessibility of public services.
