To enhance e-government and the digitisation of public services in the Sarajevo Canton, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) and the Institute for Informatics and Statistics of the Sarajevo Canton signed an Agreement on the integration and use of the Single Sign-On (SSO) system. This agreement establishes interoperability between the IDDEEA SSO portal and the ePortal of the Sarajevo Canton, enabling users to easily and efficiently access e-government services.
The primary aim of the agreement is to verify user credentials, i.e., electronic identification and authentication of users, in accordance with the Law on Electronic Governance in the Sarajevo Canton. Furthermore, this agreement guarantees unified access to e-government services for citizens and legal entities.
The significance of this initiative has been emphasised by the signatories, Mr. Dino Šehović, Director of the Institute for Informatics and Statistics of the Sarajevo Canton, and Mr. Almir Badnjević, Director of IDDEEA BiH. They also agreed to continue working together in the context of digital transformation and the enhancement of public services in the country.
This action is a major step towards improving e-government by providing citizens and legal entities with easier, faster, and more secure access to essential public services.
