Biometric Update on the Digitization Process in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a focus on IDDEEA BiH

The well-known world portal BiometricUpdate.com published an article saying that Bosnia and Herzegovina joined the Digital Europe Programme, thereby providing access to a programme worth 7.5 billion euros designed to encourage digitization, including digital identities, cyber security, and new technologies.

The article highlights the role of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH), which welcomed this agreement, officially signed on May 14, noting its importance in ensuring the integrity and security of digital IDs and data.

The DIGITAL funding programme for the 2021–2027 period is designed to support the industry, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and public administration in their digital transformation. Accordingly, last week, IDDEEA held a presentation on the Digital Europe Programme, inviting businesses, public and educational institutions, and international organisations to discuss funding options and exchange experiences. The support of the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forte, is also mentioned, who stated that the Ministry will provide infrastructure and all support to every institution or company when applying for projects.

BiometricUpdate.com is the world’s leading portal that publishes the latest news, analysis, and research on the global biometric market, and this announcement is another indicator of how important digitization is on a global level.
