The City of Zenica has signed a significant agreement with the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), granting continuous access to data through web services. This agreement opens up new opportunities for streamlining legal procedures.
As a result of this agreement, the City of Zenica will have uninterrupted access to data from the registers managed by IDDEEA, facilitated by a web service that connects the city directly to the central IDDEEA registers. This connection ensures compliance with legal regulations, simplifying administrative procedures for citizens.
This partnership improves data exchange and simplifies administrative processes, enhancing the availability and transparency of public services. It also aligns with the EU Digital Strategy, particularly Goal 6, which focuses on data exchange and interoperability, as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goals 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
This initiative demonstrates how digitization can improve public services and support sustainable development. With access to the centralized IDDEEA registers, the City of Zenica is better equipped to meet the needs of its citizens, reducing administrative hurdles and improving access to information. This leads to greater efficiency and transparency, in line with the principles of good governance and sustainable development supported by both the EU and UN.
IDDEEA remains committed to assisting cities and municipalities in enhancing their efficiency, thereby strengthening local authorities and improving the quality of services they offer to citizens.
