A constructive meeting was held between the team members of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), led by the director Mr. Almir Badnjević, and the President of the Management Board of ProCredit Bank BiH, Mr. Amir Salkanović.
The major issue of the discussion was the creation of collaborative services between banks and IDDEEA to effectively respond to the widespread usage of web services for direct data exchange with banks. It was agreed that banks should approach IDDEEA when establishing services for their clients, including electronic signatures, while IDDEEA will provide the necessary technical support and services.
It was also noted that the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina was recently passed, allowing banks to immediately exchange data and have permanent access to IDDEEA registers.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that IDDEEA would provide technical solutions for the banking industry in terms of identifying procedures as soon as possible. IDDEEA also underlined the importance of the banking sector’s assistance in promoting these services, which will bring mutual benefits.
This agreement is an essential step towards a more effective exchange of data between banks and the IDDEEA, which will ultimately contribute to improving customer services and strengthening financial security in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
