At today’s press conference of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, President Irena Hadžiabdić thanked the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange for full support and cooperation in the implementation of pilot projects as well as the entire election process.
Specifically, the Central Electoral Commission and IDDEEA are collaborating on the execution of two pilot projects: “Biometric identification and authentication” and “Voter authentication and transmission of results.”These projects, which are carried out with financial assistance from the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, constitute a significant advancement in modernisation of the electoral process in our country.
Through efforts on the analysis of the results acquired about the deployment of new technologies in the electoral process, this cooperation will continue. Based on these assessments, additional changes will be made to the functioning of the described systems to get even better results on identification and authentication and their application in the election process.
