Cooperation with competent authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Improvements of applications for registration of JMB, residence, identity cards, and driving licences

In the previous period, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) processed the requests submitted by specific competent authorities and worked on the necessary technical improvements of the applications for the register of personal identification numbers, residence, identity cards, and driving licences to comply with the submitted requests.

While conducting administrative procedures for those registers, the Agency technically develops and maintains applications for entering and processing personal data by the competent authorities. Improvements and changes are primarily intended to improve and enhance the daily work processes of the competent authorities.

Specific additional technical solutions refer to the expanded and detailed search of registered requests for personal identification numbers, the search of registered persons by municipality, valid or invalid settlements and streets, the possibility of viewing the documented proof of residence when submitting a request for an identity card, the possibility of monitoring active prohibition against driving a motor vehicle by competent authorities, as well as a complete understanding of how bans on driving a motor vehicle are implemented.

The new functionalities will make it significantly easier for competent authorities to enter and process data when receiving and processing requests for ID cards and driving licences, as well as JMB and residence requests, ultimately benefiting citizens by allowing administrative procedures to be resolved more quickly at the competent authorities responsible for issuing personal identification documents.
