Digitisation of BH Telecom services with the support of IDDEEA BiH

30.09.2024

Today, a press conference was organised in Sarajevo to showcase new electronic services from BH Telecom. Thanks to the technical support of IDDEEA and the implementation of a qualified remote electronic signature, BH Telecom has successfully completed the technical integration with IDDEEA systems. The partnership will allow BH Telecom customers to sign all contracts, contract revisions, and new services using the electronic signature system created by IDDEEA.

Mr. Almir Badnjević, the director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), clarified that the use of a qualified electronic signature—which IDDEEA offered to all citizens at no cost—is precisely what makes the digitisation of BH Telecom’s services possible.

The required documents will be sent to the user on the platform, where they can be signed. Once signed, the document will be instantly sent to BH Telecom for additional processing. This step represents significant progress in the process of digital transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, enabling simpler and faster access to electronic services.

The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, praised the cooperation with IDDEEA and the efforts of BH Telecom in digitising its services.

The director of BH Telecom, Amel Kovačević, announced that the digitization of these services will be implemented in several phases and that the first services will be made available in the BH Telecom web shop.

“Through cooperation with IDDEEA, users will now be able to sign services such as signing a contract for the purchase of mobile phones electronically, which means that they will not have to wait in lines at the offices,” Kovačević explained.
Please be aware that you can apply for a qualified electronic signature at any RA office of the IDDEEA CA. Once you have that signature, you can use it for any digital service that BH Telecom offers.
