In the headquarters of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH), a meeting was held between the director of IDDEEA BiH, Mr. Almir Badnjević, and the representative of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Mr. Saša Magazinović. The meeting focused on the functioning of the Agency and the proposed amendments to the Law on Public Procurement.
Additionally, the topic of discussion was the need for a new Law on electronic signatures, which was identified as a basis for improving administrative processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mr. Magazinović emphasised the importance of the proposed modifications to the law that would improve the efficiency of public procurement in the country, stressing the support of the Agency in the implementation of these changes. Magazinović expressed his full support for the work of the Agency in all its activities, emphasising the importance of modernization and digitization for the improvement of the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This meeting represents a step towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in terms of strengthening the partnership between the government and civil society organisations and improving cooperation in key areas. It was agreed that further activities will be focused on concrete steps towards the implementation of new legal solutions to ensure transparency and efficiency in public institutions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These activities are also important for the achievement of the 14 priorities of the European Union for BiH, especially in the context of improving the institutional framework, legal certainty, administrative capacities, and harmonisation with European standards.
