Director Badnjević at the Sarajevo Energy Forum: Challenges and Opportunities for the Development of AI-Supported Energy Networks

The Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Almir Badnjević, participated in the Sarajevo Energy Forum, one of the most significant regional events dedicated to energy transition, innovations, and sustainability. The forum was an opportunity for exchanging knowledge about key challenges and opportunities in the fields of energy, technology, and economics.

During the forum, leading experts and representatives from the private sector discussed the application of artificial intelligence in the energy field, as well as the implementation of smart meters as key components in modernising energy infrastructure. In a panel “Where are the Development of Distribution and Transmission Networks in Bosnia and the Region Heading and How Can AI and Smart Meters Help?” attendees had the opportunity to hear from Mr. Almir Badnjević, Director of IDDEEA BiH, who shared his experiences in applying new technologies in the energy industry. He also emphasised the importance of regional cooperation and investment in green technologies to create a sustainable energy future, urging all relevant stakeholders to work together on further digitising and modernising energy infrastructure.

The director expressed his satisfaction at having the opportunity to participate in this important event, which opened new perspectives for the further development of the energy industry, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and the digitalisation of the sector.
