Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Almir Badnjević, appointed ambassador for scientific research infrastructures of the Western Balkans, is actively participating in the “2nd ESFRI Stakeholders Forum”(European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) which is currently being held in Tenerife, Spain.
This significant event brings together renowned experts from diverse sectors to address critical themes and difficulties in scientific research infrastructures. Mr. Badnjević has been selected as an ambassador with a specific focus on “Finance and Management.”
This meeting has two objectives. The first one is to increase the awareness and support of ongoing initiatives and activities in the development of scientific research infrastructures in the Western Balkans; and the other, is to guarantee greater access to sources of funding for these infrastructures.
Mr. Badnjević is the representative of the Western Balkans at this forum who actively participates in discussions on access, funding, and collaboration with industry—the crucial components of the creation of infrastructure for scientific research. How these concerns may be incorporated into the new Framework Program and the European Commission’s upcoming program for the years 2025 to 2027 is given special consideration.
ESFRI is a platform that encourages collaboration, exchange of information, and identification of best practices in relation to scientific research facilities across Europe. In order to debate important issues relating to the development of scientific research infrastructures, this conference brings together members of the academic community, researchers, industry partners, legislators, and other stakeholders.
The “2nd ESFRI Stakeholder Forum” includes panel discussions, presentations, and workshops focusing on topics such as funding of scientific research infrastructures, data management, open access to research, innovation, and cooperation between sectors. Participants will exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices about these issues.
This event gives participants the opportunity to discuss the most recent trends and advancements in this field while also showcasing new projects and initiatives linked to infrastructures for scientific research. The chance to network and form new partnerships will be available to participants.
