Director of IDDEEA BiH in a visit to the BiH Embassy in the USA: Announcement of consular days and resolving the old travel document issue

Almir Badnjević, Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, spoke with Sven Alkalaj, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the United States.

Following his visit to the Bosnian Embassy in the US, Mr. Almir Badnjević, the director of IDDEEA, completed his visit to the US. Director Badnjević and Ambassador Alkalaj discussed consular days scheduled for February 24 and 25. The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the USA, in collaboration with the IDDEEA, will host periodic locations where requests for the issuance of biometric travel documents using mobile biometric equipment can be submitted.

It is especially satisfying to resolve the issue of old travel documents that have been pending for 10 years, which will considerably improve the situation for citizens who have been waiting for this administrative service for a long time.

Director Badnjević highlighted the Agency’s new initiatives, including electronic data exchange with the consulate. This initiative intends to simplify the process of submitting document requests, with a focus on enhanced electronic data exchange.
