Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH), Almir Badnjević, currently resides in Malaysia, where he used the opportunity to talk with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Malaysia, His Excellency, Mr. Edin Jahić. The establishment of an electronic data exchange for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Malaysia was a major outcome of the meeting, which was deemed highly successful.
An agreement was achieved that will greatly ease the lives of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad. For the first time, electronic data exchange has been established, allowing Malaysian individuals to request documents online with no need to travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina. This revolutionary initiative allows documents to be directly delivered to the applicants in Malaysia.
“Faced with the needs and challenges of our citizens abroad, we decided to take concrete steps to facilitate their administrative procedures. Electronic data exchange is a crucial step towards strengthening services for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina located in Malaysia,” said director Badnjević.
Ambassador Jahić did not hide his enthusiasm: “Citizens of BiH in Malaysia now have the opportunity to submit requests for documents without the need to be physically present in the country. This revolutionary initiative not only saves the time of our citizens but also increases the efficiency of providing consular support. I want to express my deep respect to Director Badnjević and his team at IDDEEA for their work so far“.
As part of the visit, Director Badnjević will also meet with representatives of the Government of Malaysia and the company MIMOS, opening the way for further cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries.
Electronic data exchange opens a new chapter in the administrative experience of BiH citizens abroad, establishing a new benchmark for future advancements and enhancements in service delivery.
