Today, Mr. Christian Schmidt, the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited IDDEEA (Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of BiH). The growth and modernisation of the identification document system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the digital transformation of the country, are supported by international institutions, and this visit is a significant step towards that goal and further strengthening of cooperation between IDDEEA and international institutions.
During the meeting with the director of the Agency, Mr. Almir Badnjević, the current activities carried out by the Agency were discussed, as well as the challenges it faces in its work. In order to improve services for citizens, Director Badnjević outlined the major projects and activities that IDDEEA is carrying out, placing a particular focus on infrastructure improvement and digital transformation.
Mr. Schmidt, the High Representative, reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Agency’s activities and stressed how crucial it is to the stability and advancement of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in terms of digitalization.
“IDDEEA’s activities and responsibilities are essential for the administrative and legal framework of institutions at all levels. It is good to have a professional approach in the BiH administration,” the High Representative concluded.
This visit confirms the commitment of the international community to support the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in accomplishing their objectives, particularly in areas that directly affect the quality of life of citizens.
