IDDEEA BiH hosted district prosecutors: Establishing framework for the electronic exchange of documents

Banja Luka, October 31, 2023 – Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Almir Badnjević hosted high-ranking judicial officers, Ms. Olivera Rauković, Acting Chief District Prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Doboj, and Mr. Mladen Mitrović, Chief District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Prijedor. The meeting was an opportunity to open a dialogue and agree on the improvement of cooperation between the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH (IDDEEA BiH) and both district prosecutors’ offices.

The meeting is a major step towards modernising Bosnia and Herzegovina’s justice system by establishing an efficient electronic exchange of documents. Director Badnjević emphasised the significance of this agreement for strengthening access and data exchange between IDDEEA BiH and the Doboj and Prijedor District Public Prosecutor’s Offices.

Ms. Rauković and Mr. Mitrović both expressed their support for the project, emphasising how this collaboration will aid investigations and legal proceedings in their respective districts. The electronic exchange of documents will expedite the flow of information between the Agency and prosecutor’s offices, allowing for faster access to critical information in criminal and judicial proceedings.

IDDEEA BiH and the District Public Prosecutor’s Offices of Doboj and Prijedor will work together to build a technical infrastructure for safe electronic data exchange, according to the agreement reached during this meeting. Staff training and support will also be offered to guarantee the smooth implementation of this significant initiative.
