IDDEEA BiH Open Data Portal Presented at the Seasonal School of Digital Transformation Panel

This year’s seasonal school, organized by the Regional School of Public Administration (RESPA) and held in Budva, focused on the utilization of open and government data, innovative work modalities for creating human-centered services, and the use of artificial intelligence in public administration. The goal was to address comprehensive processes aimed at modernizing public administration and providing services that are more efficient and tailored to the needs of users.

At one of the panels, alongside representatives from the public administrations of Montenegro and North Macedonia, Marija Klarić, a representative of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH), participated. On this occasion, she presented the open data portal implemented by IDDEEA BiH to all attendees. Klarić emphasized the necessity for collaboration among the public administration, private sector, and particularly the citizens, in order to fully realize the benefits of reform and digitalization of public administration. She highlighted that, given the relatively high level of public distrust towards the public administration, present in all participating countries of this seminar, there is a need for engagement through media campaigns, education, seminars, and similar events.

Within the panel, discussions also addressed the challenges publishers face in providing accurate, reliable, and accessible data, as well as the obstacles users encounter in efficiently utilizing these data. Through insightful discussions, the aim was to discover practical strategies and innovative solutions to improve the quality, usability, and impact of open data.

IDDEEA BiH continues to work diligently on enhancing its services to make data more accessible and useful to all citizens.
