Representatives of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) are participating in the two-day conference “DigiDive BiH – Shaping the Digital Future of BiH,” held on February 13 and 14 in Sarajevo. The conference brings together experts and representatives of relevant institutions to discuss key aspects of digital transformation in public administration, which shapes the future of public services and administrative systems.

As part of the panel titled “GovStack – The Role of Interoperability in the Public Sector,” the Assistant Director of IDDEEA BiH, Dražen Vujica, delivered a presentation on “Enhancing Data Sovereignty and Security.” Vujica spoke about the importance of maintaining data sovereignty and security in the digital environment, particularly in the context of the implementation of GoV Cloud in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that the development and implementation of GoV Cloud is an important step toward strengthening the infrastructure that enables efficient and secure data exchange between institutions, increasing transparency and citizen trust in public services.

Moreover, Mr. Vujica presented the digital wallet project, implemented by IDDEEA BiH with financial support from GIZ and the European Union Delegation. The digital wallet represents an innovative solution for electronic identification and authentication of citizens, as well as secure storage and use of various digital documents.

One of the speakers at the conference was the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, who identified the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a positive example of digital transformation. Minister Forto highlighted that IDDEEA, with its proactive approach to the digital development of services, has made significant progress in digital transformation, showing how timely and coordinated activities can bring concrete benefits to citizens and public administration.
