IDDEEA BiH supported the project “EU support for an interoperable e-government infrastructure platform in Bosnia and Herzegovina”

Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Almir Badnjević, and his team, held a meeting with the representatives of the project “EU support for an interoperable e-government infrastructure platform in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, funded by the EU, led by its leader Aleksandar Josifovski.

This project, which began on December 28, 2023, aims to improve technical capabilities for system interoperability in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Apart from IDDEEA BiH, the institutions participating in the implementation of this project are the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of BiH – the Department of e-Government Affairs.

The specific purpose of the project is to develop a proposal for an interoperable e-government infrastructure platform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with sector-specific annexes containing basic, administrative, and legal ICT recommendations for the following phases. The implementation time of this project is 24 months which means that it will end on December 27, 2025.

This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ideas and agree on further measures toward accomplishing the established goals. We are optimistic that the joint work and engagement of all participants will result in the successful implementation of the project and the advancement of e-government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
