IDDEEA encourages authorities to use electronic data exchange to expedite processes for BiH citizens

Dear officials from the municipalities, cities, banks, and all authorities responsible for access to information about the residence of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

We would like to inform you about an important initiative of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), which aims to significantly facilitate processes and services for citizens. To cut down on lengthy wait times and eliminate the need to print Certificates of Residence, IDDEEA has enabled electronic data exchange and introduced electronic web services.

We have observed that a large number of citizens are currently standing in long lines at MUP counters across the country to obtain a printed Certificate of Residence, and we have come to the conclusion that this is an ineffective procedure for all of us. For that reason, we would like to emphasize that it is no longer necessary to ask citizens for printed certificates of residence.

Rather, all governmental bodies, towns, cities, banks, and other establishments are encouraged to apply for access to our electronic web services by sending a request. IDDEEA will offer you free assistance and facilitate the electronic exchange of data about citizens’ places of residence through secure and efficient digital channels. In this manner, it will be possible to electronically verify the place of residence for each citizen with no need for physical delivery of printed certificates.

IDDEEA emphasizes that it will provide free support and enable the electronic exchange of information about citizens’ residences through secure and efficient digital channels. This will allow us to electronically verify each citizen’s place of residence without the need for physical delivery of printed certificates.

We also remind you that many authorities have completed this procedure successfully and switched to the electronic system, significantly easing access to services for their citizens. However, there are still many who have not submitted requests to access IDDEEA’s web services and continue to require written certificates from citizens.

We invite you to join this initiative to improve the quality of services and the efficiency of administrative procedures for the benefit of our citizens. Please modify your internal procedures and switch to the electronic method of verifying residence information. For all information and assistance with the implementation of electronic web services, feel free to contact IDDEEA. Our purpose is to work together to improve the quality of life for BiH citizens.

We appreciate your understanding and support.

Respectfully,

IDDDEEA BiH
