Mr. Adnan Delić, Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy held a meeting with Mr. Almir Badnjević, the Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH (IDDEEA), to discuss implementing a support programme for mothers for each newborn child in FBiH in 2024.
Minister Delić highlighted during the meeting that the primary objective is to reduce the number of requests for paperwork from applicants and to complete all procedures via formal channels between the Ministry and IDDEEA.
Director Badnjević promised to do everything in his power to expedite and simplify the process of providing mothers with such aid, expressing his unwavering support for this objective.
The Ministry and IDDEEA will sign agreements in the coming days to enable the immediate commencement of providing support to mothers in the Federation of BiH. These agreements will grant mothers 1,000 BAM for each newborn child in the Federation of BiH.
A representative of the UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina also attended the meeting, as did other members of the Ministry’s working group responsible for drafting the Regulation that will determine how these funds are to be allocated. The UNDP representative noted that the application, or digital solution, is almost finished and should be fully customised soon.
