Meeting of the directors of APIK and IDDEEA BiH: Support to the digitization of anti-corruption processes

APIK emphasized the need to digitize anti-corruption processes and support the eventual development of electronic registers in various critical areas in which the Agency operates.

The directors of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange (IDDEEA BiH) and the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight Against Corruption (APIK), Almir Badnjević and Elvis Kondžić met today in Sarajevo to talk about how to increase future collaboration and inter-institutional support between the two institutions.

During the discussion, the directors appraised the necessity for public administration modernization as quickly as feasible in order to follow beneficial European trends and practices that would make life easier for BiH people and employees in BiH institutions.

When it comes to the major areas of collaboration, the director of APIK emphasised the necessity for the digitization of anti-corruption procedures as well as support for the future development of electronic registers in various critical areas in which the institution operates.

The director of IDDEEA BiH stated that the institution he manages would be as accessible as possible to APIK and other anti-corruption organisations.

Finally, it was agreed that today’s meeting marks the beginning of collaboration between the two organisations, which, as previously said, were founded primarily to improve the lives of BiH people, which is their common goal.
