Meeting of the directors of the Institute of Metrology of BiH and IDDEEA

Today, director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Almir Badnjević, and the director of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Milica Ristović Krstić, met in the premises of the Metrology Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo and discussed crucial features of inter-institutional cooperation, with a focus on guaranteeing accurate time for electronic signature demands.

This fruitful discussion between two directors in the sphere of identification and metrology constitutes an important step forward in ensuring the integrity and reliability of electronic transactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The major topic of discussion during the meeting was the importance of establishing accurate and undeniably verifiable time for electronic signatures, regardless of the area of application.

Mr. Almir Badnjević, director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH, emphasized the importance of this cooperation, saying: “The electronic signature has become an indispensable part of modern business and communication. We must rely on precise and reliable time to maintain the integrity and security of electronic transactions. This meeting is a starting point   of our collaborative effort to guarantee that Bosnia and Herzegovina has an accurate time resource that can be relied on for electronic signature.”

Ms. Milica Ristović Krstić, director of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina, added: “The Institute of Metrology has rich experience in the field of metrology and accurate time. We look forward to cooperation with the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to jointly develop and provide an accurate time resource that will suit the purposes of the electronic signature, therefore contributing to the improvement of the security of electronic transactions in our country. ”

This meeting is the first step in the process of cooperation between two essential regulatory authorities, and other meetings and activities are planned to enable the efficient and secure use of electronic signatures in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
