Mutual cooperation between Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo and IDDEEA: An agreement on permanent access to data via web service was signed

The Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo is one more municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina that has established cooperation with the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) by signing an agreement that enables permanent access to data through a web service.

This agreement represents a step forward towards digitalisation and improvement of administrative procedures, enabling the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo direct and secure access to IDDEEA’s central registers. This significantly simplifies various administrative procedures, accelerates the provision of services to citizens, and increases the transparency and efficiency of the work of the municipal administration.

In practice, this means that citizens no longer have to bring certain documents physically, as municipal officers will have direct access to relevant records through IDDEEA’s database. By connecting to central databases, the municipality strives to reduce administrative obstacles, facilitate access to information, and speed up procedures for its citizens.

This partnership is aligned with the European Digital Strategy, especially Goal 6, which relates to data exchange and interoperability, as well as with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goals 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals). Digitisation through such agreements strengthens local institutions, increases their transparency, and enables greater efficiency, which contributes to the sustainable development and improvement of public services that the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo provides to its citizens.
