One less document required: IDDEEA and the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo on the way to digital efficiency

In order to improve administrative procedures and provide more efficient services to citizens, representatives of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) held a meeting with representatives of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.

The main topic of the meeting was the start of the activities on the establishment of electronic data exchange between IDDEEA and the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, as well as support to municipalities in the process of digital transformation of administrative procedures. The major issue of the meeting was the initiation of actions to establish an electronic exchange of data between IDDEEA and the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, as well as support for municipalities in the process of digitalizing administrative procedures and reducing a burden on citizens through electronic data exchange and eliminate the need for physical documents.

The ultimate purpose of this initiative is to create and implement e-services that will make it easier for citizens to access and use the services they need. The introduction of e-identity and e-signature by the IDDEEA has created crucial preconditions for local administration organisations to successfully provide services to citizens.
Mutual satisfaction was expressed at the meeting as a result of the progress made, as well as a willingness to strengthen mutual cooperation to serve citizens with easier and better services. Such an initiative is a positive step towards modernising administrative operations and creating a more welcoming environment for all citizens.
