Partnership for Modernization: Meeting of the Director of IDDEEA BiH and the Director of the Branch Office Banja Luka, US Mission to BiH

Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH (IDDEEA), Mr. Almir Badnjević hosted the director of the Branch Office Banja Luka, US Mission to BiH, Mr. Todd Bullock.

At the meeting, recent developments of IDDEEA BiH were discussed, with a particular emphasis on digital improvements. Director Badnjević emphasised the significance of digital signatures and announced the release of a digital wallet to enhance user experience.

“The digital signature recently implemented by the IDDEEA BiH is one of the basic technological components of this system, which enables citizens to electronically sign documents and conduct business with state institutions and business entities in a fast, efficient, and secure manner,” said Director Badnjević.

Mr. Bullock emphasized the importance of the partnership between IDDEEA BiH and the United States of America in improving the identification and registration system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The first major benefit of the digital signature for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina is significant time savings. This makes life especially easier for people living in remote areas or those with limited mobility,” said Bullock.

This partnership and the technological innovations presented at the meeting represent a secure step towards the modernization of the identification and registration system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will result in improved user experience and easier life for citizens.
