The Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of BiH would like to inform the public about the functioning of our website, given that a number of media outlets have posted misleading information on their portals claiming that a hacker attack was the reason behind the downfall of the website and that citizens’ personal data was at risk.
Namely, the website of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange was temporarily unavailable due to unforeseen problems in the operation of telecommunications services. The issue was fixed at 11:00 p.m. after it was reported. All providers will have the service available today due to the time needed for DNS server records to propagate.
Since the website contains no citizen data, there is no cause for concern. Furthermore, there was no hacker attack, nor was there any malfunctioning of the IDDEEA system that stores registers containing data about the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The system is completely and flawlessly functional.
