Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute removed administrative barriers for citizens; IDDEEA BiH is a significant partner in achieving more efficient operations

Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute announced that the administrative barriers for the citizens of the Canton of Sarajevo have been officially removed, allowing them to no longer submit Certificates of permanent residence to be able to enjoy their rights. This considerable facilitation arises from the previously negotiated agreement between the Institute and the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of BiH (IDDEEA BiH).

The agreement provided the Institute with permanent access to data from IDDEEA BiH registers using a web service. As a result, the Institute can directly review data on the place of residence of all applicants through the application, eliminating the requirement for citizens to physically submit a Certificate of permanent residence. The agreement provides the Institute with official access to the relevant information in compliance with all security standards and procedures connected to the protection of personal data.

The Certificate of permanent residence or PBA3 form, which is proof of a home address in paper form, has until now been an obligatory document used by citizens in various aspects of their lives. The Institute removed the necessity to submit Certificates of Permanent Residence in response to recurring long waits and queues in institutions that affected people, making an unnecessary administrative burden.

This agreement enables the Institute to continue providing high-quality service to policyholders while avoiding the need for additional paperwork.

Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute is continually working to improve its services so that all of its clients with insurance have simple, quick, and efficient access to health care.
