A meeting of representatives of the Federal Police Administration and management representatives of the Agency was held on July 27, 2023, in the office of the Director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: IDDEEA BiH) in Banja Luka.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mladen Milosavljević, head of the Center for Forensic Examinations, Expertizes and Research, Selma Šikalo, criminologist, head of the Department for Dactyloscopic Identification and Expertise and Edin Čizmo, expert advisor of the Department for Dactyloscopic Identification and Expertise, PhD Almir Badnjević, director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Admir Nušinović, assistant director in the Technical Sector, Nermin Bećirbašić, head of the Department for Human Resource Management and Legal Affairs.
The meeting was initiated by the FMUP, that is, the Federal Police Administration in order to improve business and technical cooperation and the use of applicative solutions used by the Ministries of Interior in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the processes of biometric data verification.
The representatives of IDDEEA BiH emphasized that they will do all possible within their technological capabilities and obligations to improve the application system used in police operations and to ensure that the quality of biometric data is optimal from a technical standpoint.
It was agreed that the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina will undertake an effort in collaboration with the line ministry. The representatives of IDDEEA BiH emphasized that in accordance with technical capabilities and competences, they will do everything to further improve the application system used in the work of police bodies and that IDDEEA will do everything from the technical side to ensure that the quality of biometric data is optimal.
It was agreed that the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the relevant ministries, will launch an initiative to hold a meeting with relevant MUPs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the main topic would be raising the level of security and quality of biometric data.
