At the headquarters of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) in Banja Luka, a working meeting was held between Mr. Dženad Groša, Director of the Judicial Police of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Almir Badnjević, director of IDDEEA BiH.
During the meeting, Director Grošo gave Director Badnjević an overview of the Judicial Police’s authority in the Federation of BiH, highlighting the significance of access to IDDEEA’s central registers for the daily work of Judicial Police officers. This approach would significantly contribute to increasing the operational efficiency of the Judicial Police and achieving better work outcomes.
Director Badnjević underlined the ongoing efforts of the Agency to enhance collaboration with pertinent entities at all governmental levels and the significance of IDDEEA within the Bosnia and Herzegovina framework. Enhancing workflows and facilitating prompt and effective access to pertinent information, particularly in the fields of security and justice, are the objectives of these activities, which also contribute to the fulfilment of EU priorities set for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting covered the use of existing connections in cooperation with the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as potential improvements for further strengthening of cooperation, particularly with regard to software solutions for the effective management of personal data processed by the Judicial Police. Through these actions, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s judicial institutions would be even more secure, supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG).
Director Badnjević thanked Director Groša for his expressed interest and willingness to work with him at the end of the meeting, emphasising that IDDEEA BiH will support these efforts that enhance the organisation and work outcomes of the Judicial Police of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the judicial institutions overall.
