The Municipality of Posušje and IDDEEA BiH signed the Agreement: More efficient administrative procedures and better availability of services

The Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) and the Municipality of Posušje have signed an agreement on permanent access to data through an e-service, creating new prospects for more effective delivery of legal procedures.

Through an e-service that connects the municipality with the IDDEEA’s central registers, this agreement permits permanent access to data from the registers that are technically controlled and maintained by the IDDEEA. This means that the municipality will directly access the registers maintained by IDDEEA, in compliance with applicable legal regulations, aiming to facilitate the implementation of various administrative procedures for the citizens of Posušje.

The collaboration facilitates enhanced exchange of data and streamlines administrative processes, increasing the accessibility and transparency of public services for everyone. The initiative is in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16 (Peace, justice, and strong institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the goals), as well as the EU Digital Strategy, particularly Goal 6, as it refers to data exchange and interoperability.

Digitisation as a key component of this initiative enhances public services and promotes sustainable development. With centralised IDDEEA registers at its disposal, the municipality of Posušje can better serve its citizens’ requirements while lowering the administrative burden and improving information availability. This achieves greater efficiency and transparency, which is in line with the principles of good governance and sustainable development promoted by the EU and the UN.

IDDEEA continues to provide support to municipalities to improve their work and improve the quality of services they provide to their citizens.
