The UK Ambassador to BiH supported IDDEEA in digital transformation: Focusing on personal data protection and cyber security

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Julian Reilly, hosted the representatives of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA), headed by the Director Almir Badnjević, to discuss challenges and progress in the field of digitization in BiH.

The discussion focused on personal data security and the provision of services in a timely, efficient, and secure manner. Director Badnjević outlined the progress and upcoming innovations of the Agency, such as e-government, digital identity, and an e-wallet, set to be finished by the end of the year. He also emphasised that everything that IDDEEA does digitally should be secured appropriately.

Ambassador Reilly emphasized the importance of cyber security as a key segment of digital transformation. He expressed the readiness of the Embassy of Great Britain to provide support to the Agency. He emphasized the importance of future cooperation and support, especially when it comes to cyber security.

This meeting represents the continuation of the development of digital infrastructure and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the assistance of international partners such as the United Kingdom.
