The Una-Sana Canton shows determination in modernising administrative procedures, putting citizens and the economy at the centre of its reforms. Seven out of eight local self-government units in the Una-Sana Canton have requested permanent access to registers through the web service maintained by the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA BiH).
In compliance with the requests, the Agency allowed the municipalities of Velika Kladuša, Bužim, Sanski Most, and Ključ as well as the cities of Bihać, Bosanska Krupa, and Cazin permanent access to the IDDEEA web service for the electronic exchange of data in order to carry out the legally defined responsibilities of these institutions, which established the presumptions to streamline administrative procedures.
This action also shows how prepared the Una-Sana Canton local government is to assist the local economy, its people, and businesses by fostering a more business-friendly atmosphere.
Using the IDDEEA’s web service allows authorised individuals to obtain specific data ex officio in the procedures conducted before these authorities, eliminating the need to submit certificates of permanent and temporary residence and other data from official registers by citizens. Along with contributing to alignment with the EU Digital Strategy in terms of data exchange and interoperability, this also satisfies some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, which focus on strong institutions and partnerships to achieve the goals. The Una-Sana Canton affirms its commitment to modernisation and integration into broader European trends.
This will significantly facilitate and speed up administrative procedures, reduce costs for authorities and citizens, and contribute to increasing the efficiency of procedures conducted before administrative authorities.
